Program Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing the solution generation and proposal development for all assigned opportunities. Chair internal team meetings as necessary to ensure completion of all deliverables.
  • Ensure adequate team is assigned to each Client Solutions opportunity. Ensure proper notification given, if needed, to Partner Engagement
  • Review and finalize client-focused proposals, budgets and client bids, ensuring all required information is included
  • Identify proposal discrepancies and work with stakeholders to obtain missing information, or, if no data is available, make reasoned assumptions
  • Participate in client strategy calls to discuss customer requirements, identify areas of interest and concern, and foster the client relationship
  • Ensure that Biorasi’s proposed service solutions are creative, viable and profitable and coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure proper solutions development, review and approval processes are followed
  • Facilitate seamless transition of awarded opportunities from Client Solutions to Operations and assist in project mobilization activities, as needed
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • May participate as representative of the proposals team and of Biorasi in bid defence presentations.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues to the Client Solutions Head as needed
  • Participate in the drafting and finalization of contractual documents such as work orders, letters of intent, and other client agreements
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues to senior management as needed
  • Depending on experience, may attend industry trade shows and events
  • Mentor and train fellow team members within Client Solutions
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (degree in a life science is preferred, but not required)
  • 2 years of experience in CRO / pharmaceuticals industry or, alternatively, 1 year experience in CRO / pharmaceuticals industry plus an advanced degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Ph.D. in Immunology)
  • Hands on experience in the clinical research proposal development process
  • Ability to manage multiple resources and remain highly motivated in a high-paced, dynamic environment
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% will be required for this position
